For our term 2 writing, we have been focusing on adrenaline writing. It is about getting ideas from a video or picture. M.s Dods chose a couple of videos. One was about lioness attacking a buffalo and the other was about bike rides. I chose the buffalo one. I went over and over until it had no more mistake. I met the deadline on time. This is the writing I created.
The Buffalo
Blending into the dusty, rocky hillsides. Spying on tonight's dinner. Making no sudden moves. Dry grass just covering me. Sun flashing down onto my shiny coat. Carefully watching my prey mover closer and closer. Inch by inch. 3, 2, 1… Quickly dashing towards our feast like lightning bolts going off. The buffalo spins off to safety. Chasing after him without stopping. I needed him, I was starving to death.
Dust flicking up behind me. It was like a race. Clinging my fangs into his brustle tail. Hoping that would slow him down. It didn’t. He kept galloping towards his home. I tried everything I could possibly do to slow him down. Nothing could slow him down. At least I snapped at his tail. We were getting closer to his hideout. In the corner of my eyes I saw people glancing at us.
Feeling like my nerves will snap at any second. I felt like a cake baking. All my buddies were chasing after this one buffalo trying our best to capture him. The sun was still screeching down on us. I need water splashed over me. I was burning to death. It had been 5 minutes trying to capture this beast. He was too fast for us. We couldn’t tap him.
He had escaped.
